On Thursday, 19 麻豆影院 High students from Automotive II and Automotive III participated in an exciting , where they delved into the fascinating world of public transit vehicles that serve the Capital District. This hands-on experience opened the door to various opportunities for students interested in the field of auto mechanics.

During their visit, students enjoyed a personalized tour guided by knowledgeable CDTA staff. They had the unique chance to peer into the undercarriage of an articulated bus elevated on massive jacks, gaining insights into the intricate components and parts that CDTA mechanics diligently work on every day. They discovered insights about various positions within the company and learned how mechanics manage both routine and unexpected maintenance tasks. 

Students also explored the innovative realm of electric buses. They observed a bus being plugged in for charging and learned about the essential safety precautions necessary when working with vehicles powered by high voltage. They also gained knowledge about the nuances of training electric bus operators on how to drive efficiently during different seasons of the year to maximize the mileage possible per charge. 

This field trip not only broadened their understanding of public transit but also piqued their passion for exploring future career opportunities.
